Cleveland Afasic is a group supporting children and young adults with speech, language and communication difficulties, working for their inclusion in society and providing support to their parents.
Some children do not develop speech and language as expected. They may have difficulties with any or all aspects of speech and language - from moving the muscles which control speech, to the ability to understand or use language at all. Such difficulties can have a devastating effect on their educational progress and social relationships. If you would like to meet other parents with similar issues, we meet normally every first Tuesday of the month at The Mermaid, at Marske-by-the-Sea and if you would like to come and join us, please get in touch.
